Okay.
After a near-death experience, I have to say I feel pretty (the word is not good) awful. Grateful, of course, but still awful. No, I did not almost die even though I did go waterskiing and I have to say it was horrible. Why does seawater have to taste so salty? Why does it have to taste so damn bad? And why do I have to be so small and completely not in control of anything? Why, dear God, why do people have to do sport-like things for recreation? It just makes me want to shoot myself.
But that's not the story.
Short version: Brian was a foot away from being splattered across the front of a boat.
Long version: Brian was waterskiing, and he stopped in the channel. His dad starts screaming for him to look out and wave his arms. I look over: there is a boat completely going at like a million miles an hour straight for him. So we all started screaming. Brian starts swimming. The boat goes past him, over the line, and stops. Brian's head is still there.
I start screaming at the bastard. He tries to defend himself by saying that we shouldn't be waterskiing in the channel. Obviously, he's a blind son of a bitch. Obviously, there was a boat with a line (perfectly in contrast with the water) and a person at the other end. Obviously, he wasn't looking where he was going at all. Idiot.
Seriously, I thought he was going to die. After I yelled at the guy, I started crying, and his mom was crying. Just imagine, the boat could have just took his whole head off. That guy, what a fucker. And acting like we were wrong for being there? The boat was freaking a foot away from him.
Yes, well, now we know. Blind people are allowed to drive boats.
Oh yeah. Today's his birthday.
